Long time shooter; but it has been years since I last hunted. I was talking with a friend about his sheep hunting a few years ago in my prep for a trip to Big Bend Ranch State Park. A few weeks later I spotted my first big horn along the Fresno Canyon at the park. The ram stood there for a minute and then wheeled around and hauled ass up the rock side - I was hooked.
Fast forward three more yearly trips to the park with my Toyota 4Runner and I am finally getting in position financially to start sheep hunting. So now I am getting serious about gear and increasing my physical conditioning for the hunt.
Other than that I am an experienced long range shooter trained in the Marine Corps on the M14 DMR and then continued on the civilian side with my 300 WM. I recently put together a 6.5 Grendel to try to put together a lightweight AR setup. Still working on that setup.
