Canned hunts are bulls*it. Hunting anything under a corn feeder is bulls*it.

I went to HS in the hill country which has a ton of game ranches. Guy I went to HS with worked his land as a game ranch. His dad went to prison for selling canned hunts to bigwigs in Dallas and Houston. Sumbitch got caught by video recording a hunt with a client who flew in on a Lear jet, got picked up in a Jeep drove out to a pasture, took his tie off (he was wearing a suit) and shot a lion or something. It ended up on the news and the guy got pinched. Rightfully so I might add.

We don't have the public land available that most other states have but there are still a lot of DIY opportunities here. PM me if you need help.

I'd say you are fishin' with your thread title...Take it somewhere else. We talk about tactics and gear, not hot button topics.

......and hunters bagging on other hunters following legal hunting methods is bullshit in my book.

The people who are trying to take our rights away don't give a rats ass if you are a noble DIY backcountry hunter or a slob shooting deer under a feeder and neither should the rest of us hunters.

That's the attitude that will eventuallly screw us all.

I agree. I wanted to get an easy hunt for my stepdad when he was dying. Just something to get him out and behind a rifle. There's a hunt for everyone. Beauty is we have choices.

This is not my kind of hunting but I think you summed it up with your statement. I feel the same about crossbows, inline muzzle loaders, long range shooting on game, etc. but if it is legal then so be it.

Haha. I'm sure there's a guy with a blowgun or spear that thinks I'm a wuss.

If legal. Why not?

There are lots of other forums better suited for this question.
