Tennesse Races. Who has done one of these?

Anyone did one of these they look brutal.

Bigs backyard ultra...no end goes until last person standing. 4ish mile loop have to do it every hour on the hour.

Barkley Marathon. 100 miles 60 hours 54200 ft. Elevation gain some years no finishers/winners.

Tennessee 500k.

Barkley marathons is one of the toughest ultra running events out there.

I know a few people that attempted the Barkley Fall Classic. They said it's freaking brutal. They came out cut up from briars, bruised from the uphill scrambles, and tired as you could imagine, and still didn't make the cutoff and were pulled at an aid station. They are no rookies, with each having a few 100s under their belts.

Pretty sure you have to submit a “resume” to be considered for the Barkley. You best have your big boy britches on for that race from what I hear.

I grew up in that area of tennessee for the barkley and couldnt imagine that race...
