Temps and bears

Question, I was planning on a backpacking trip this weekend as one last good chance for bear hunting and for deer scouting for this fall. The area is going to be in the mid-upper 90s this weekend, is it even worth going out?

Oh I plan on going either way, it's the matter of, drive 6ish hours. Or stay closer to home that'll be cooler and with more known water around.

I've taken a few bears on very hot days. Never hard to find bears this time of year (evenings are money in our area on hot days). Not sure about your area, but here on Vancouver Island the boars are starting to look for sows to breed and can be seen any time of the day. Like any other hot weather hunt, meat care is normally the main concern.

I had a griz tag 10 years ago and hunted an area the first 2 weeks of June in the south east corner of BC just north of the Montana border. Was hot as hell. I saw a pile of black bears on that hunt
