Was this a rifle or a muzzle loader? Just wondering what shape the breech face is in if you have any pictures. Thanks.

It's the same frame...just some were taken care of like yours and others have been neglected. I've seen them pitted pretty badly from not being cleaned after shooting with the black powder barrel. You've obviously taken pretty decent care of this one. Thanks for the picture!
