Thanks for the suggestions. I went with Imperial in Caldwell. Expensive and long time line but figured it was a safe bet to get my skull back.

Good move. I also use Imperial when I want a top of the line product back from a taxidermist.

Bob Ulshafer at Sundance Taxidermy in Meridian for hair on stuff and Tony Hook at Predator to Prey European Mounts in Payette for beetle stuff. Bob's sheep work is outstanding.

Tony does a great job but he's getting really popular and his lead times reflect it. I'd absolutely recommend Tony if you're not in a hurry.

I’m serious, if you’ve got a little time I can show you how to do it yourself. Just finished my own buck yesterday. This buck was alive on Saturday, I boiled it Saturday night(out of state, had to have it clean to come home) and bleached it yesterday.

I also decided that while I was in the skull cleaning mode I would get out a bear skull that had been in the freezer for a year and a half. I’ll get it finished up by end of week here and share it as well. You could do the whole thing in a day or less but I get busy/distracted and end up taking longer on my own stuff.
