Tarp size

All,

I’m 100% going with a flat cuben tarp..

The only thing I’m left with is the size??

I’m going with either the square 8.6 x 8.6 or rectangle 8.6 x 10 HMG flat tarp.

I’m leaning towards the 10’ option.

Not interested in Cat cut or shaped tarp setup.

Any thoughts?

Go with the 10'. That extra 2 feet will give you a lot more options when pitching it, especially when the weather turns bad. I would think with it being cuban fiber, the weight penalty isn't much for the extra length.

I would go with a 9x9 tarp per the attached article. Big enough for one person and easier to find an area that it will fit in.

The 9x9 is an interesting theory for sure but I believe I'll end up with the 10 footer and hope for the best!

Well shit... I just realized that the HMG tarp is actually 8' x 10'.... Now what to do?
