Talley LW mounts out of line?

Note: If needed and the threaded hole does not go through (front of reciever) I grind off the screw so it bottoms on the head.

Why would I not send this back to Browning if it proves out that the holes are tapped out of line? I am the original purchaser and nothing has been altered.

Well, after the first DNZ mounts never shipped I canceled the order. Then placed a second order. They sent the wrong product. I called a local gun shop and I’ll be damned if they didn’t have the DNZ Game Reaper mount in stock. Wasted that two weeks. I say all of that to say that it was the Talley LW mounts. I mounted the DNZ and put the rings on and had to adjust amount 30-40 clicks to bore sight. I have the DNZ mounts on other rifles and also the Talley’s. Just a bad apple. I’m just glad it wasn’t the tapped holes in my rifle.

Were they cracked? Or slipping?

Had a chance to shoot the Browning HCS 300 WM today with the new to me Swarovski Z6i after remounting in the DNZ GameReaper. Bore sighted before I went to the range. Had to adjust 8 clicks left and then shot a <MOA three shot group. I know everyone likes five or ten shot groups but at $3 a pop I was happy with three. I know that you can get a lemon in anything and that is what I chalk to the Talley mounts being misaligned. Happy with the Swarovski scope.
