I am looking for a tripod with a specific set of characteristics. The two purposes are:
- Standing height binocular glassing
- Standing height rear rifle rest
I have a heavier and very stable primary tripod for my large spotter and mounting the rifle into, so this tripod can be not very rigid, but ultralight and ideally ultra accessible but with a max height at least about 65”. I’d also like a second system to have binos and spotter up simultaneously.
I am considering Wiser Precisions’s 3rd Leg setup as I use trekking poles already, but its max height does not seem high enough. Perhaps someone familiar with that system has a way to increase height?
I am also considering Aziak’s Front Country tripod as that one seems to have good height for its weight.
Does anyone know of a system that would suit this role?
