Taipan TM15-256

Looking for some hands on experience with the

Taipan TM15-256. It’s going to be for my wife . Its use would be to detect heat . Then switch to NV scope to id . Max range she would need would be 400 yds . Also could this be used inside 50 ish yards to be able to scan the woods from a Treestand ? . The nv scope light bothers her eyes so scanning with that is tough . . Any help would be great . Not trying to spend over 1k untill I know shes in it​

that 256 image won't do well beyond 100, IMO

Hey bud. Do you think it’d still pick up heat further than 100 ? Say 300? Then jump on the NV scope to id ?

it would pick up heat, just not sure you'd actually know what it was. I guess you have NV to id, so it may work fine for your use

Couldn’t agree more currently run the taipan 25 384 actually really impressed

That’s awesome . The 15/256 aughta be here today or tommrow so I’ll be sure to update here with my opinion on it for what it’s worth lol .

Just figured I’d update . Got her the taipan tm 15 256 . It’s pretty nice for the money !!! If on a budget or just starting out I highly recommend . I’ll be sure to post some pics through it in the days to come was able to I’d deer at about 300 and pick up heat at 487 which is the max distance I was able to see line of sight

It’s not bad , I will say I’d get the best one you can afford. I wish I waited a bit and spent some more but for the price it is nice … I hope that makes sense
