I am not that adventurous. I can guess, though…Had to Google that site and it's as weird as I thought it might be.

I believe I am a type 3. I am going to give the non-surgical route a shot. For those curious, here is a type 1 example showing extra bone formation:

Here is a type 2 with a curve in the bone:

And here is a type 3 where the bone is just pointing towards the outside of the foot:

Hopefully that provides some context on why/how the types can vary and why they require different types of surgeries to fix them.
I believe in you boo! if that doesnt work i got a fresh blade for my angle grinder, I bet we can get that sucker trimmed down.@Nickofthewoods

I bought some Altras, Vivo Trackers, and some toe spreader things as much as I can possibly tolerate: 18-20 hours a day. At some point each night I take them off in the middle of the night when they wake me up.

Well, that’s what I’m going for. Hammer toes, PF, Achilles problems, bunions… I’m hoping that all of this can be solved by a lifestyle change.@TheCougar
Bro. Those dogs. How did I miss this gem the first time around.
Seriously though the gel spaces helped me a ton. I dont have bunions just smashed together toes and 3 hammer toes per foot from decades of cowboy boots.
Walking 4 miles everyday for 2 years and using the spacers has gotten my feet almost back to normal. Plus being barefoot as much as possible. The little toe is still a touch hammer toe but they are slowly straightening out. The plantar fasciitis went away for me as my feet got back into healthier shape.

What do you consider to be “good footwear”?Walking vigorously everyday in good footwear I believe had the most positive effect.
I have not been able to get the barefoot thing to work for me from a footware fit perspective.
