I have been on a mission to find the perfect (for me) mid to late season pant that has both hip vents, knee pads and then finally a proper fit. I own Sitka timberlines, FL corrugate foundry, kuiu attacks and even some from element. The Sitkas lack hip vents and fit super weird, FLs are good for a day before they stretch into clown pants, then the others lack knee pads or a fit I like… so I ordered some SG dehavilland to try.

I’m not a small mammal at 6’4” 225. I normally wear 34 inseam. I’m not sure who the hell is making in seam decisions for these brands anymore but they leave a zip code between standard (33) and tall inseams (36.5) and I need neither… I got the XLT and the fits good until the knee where they get baggier than I’d like and then they’re just too long.

I’m kind of tired of trying pants so I’m considering taking them to a tailor to have them taken in below the knee and hemmed but wasn’t sure on a technical pant like this how doable this was.

TL:DR - anyone had these or similar pants tailored? Or is there another pant I should be looking at rather than altering
