This is nuts, I thought it was just me.. I had three bags completely fall apart last fall and just figured that's the way she goes sometimes...

And yes, thank you Larry. Unfortunately, the bags are in the trash so I can't replace them or return them.

Nick, email me your shipping address.

Guys, I lost confidence in the current inventory even though some bags are strong while others suck ass. Either the material batches overlapped to explain why some are good and others not, or we just got juiced by the supplier mixing in bad inventory hoping we wouldnt notice. Either way, I cleaned the shelves and stopped sales just to be sure. Slate clear, new inventory is being made and will arrive in january. If I get earlier inventory I'll get 'em out to you.

Thanks for your support.

Any chance you still have some good bags in the inventory you pulled off the shelves??

Larry, I just checked my bomb bag set after seeing this post. They're definitely bad.

Thanks for stepping up and taking care of customers to make it right.

The main homepage says, "NOTE: Out of Stock until January 2016", but other retailers are still stocking the bags with no mention of problems...

Have they not been issued a recall notice? I was going to order my first set from BlackOvis and wouldn't have known about the recall if I didn't stumble on this thread...

I used my bags for the first time this weekend. Brought an elk back to ND, and noticed a few of the bags starting to separate at the seams. They still managed to hold the meat, but wouldn't have made it for another hunt. Gotta love a business owner that stands behind his product like this. Most companies would have waited for the complaint box to fill up before addressing the problem. Thanks, Larry.

I got a bad set, bummer. Pulled apart with very little pressure. I was really looking forward to using these win my rifle hunts over the next month...

So, we just email you and we will get the return info once new inventory comes in?

Yeah, I've got a file on my desk and its growing...no surprise.

I'll contact Black Ovis tonight and get them on the same page. I'm treating Black Ovis customers as if you guys were mine.

Keep in mind these recalls take a little time once the gears are in motion. Try to not to fault other companies until everyone is fully informed. I'm going through all our client files to reach out to retailers ASAP.

We posted Out Of Stock Until January because we pulled 100% of our inventory. Technically not all sets have had bad bags, it was more a random mix of good and bad material that made up the volume of sales from that lot. So, decisions to pull 100% inventory were a personal standard...other companies can choose to sell the product if they confidence in the bags they check. Just saying, take that into consideration in the interum while we process due diligence.

later folks, and thanks again for the support.

I'm not sure how many TAG Bags I currently own, but I don't have any defective ones.

This is pure hell for any businessman, let me assure you. These would never have seen service, had the defect been known. I feel for Larry and have no doubt that anyone with a TAG Bag issue will get primo warranty from him. I have no dog in this fight, but I do 100% agree that TAG Bags were the original high-tech game bags and that means something to me. The next time I need bags I'll be hitting on LB and trusting they'll be even better as a result of this unfortunate deal.

After tossing my brand X game bags this year (because they have been used and washed multiple times) ive been researching a replacement. after reading this thread my next set will definitely be TAG bags. I worked retail management for 14 years before switching careers, one of my biggest headaches was dealing with manufactures trying to get out of replacing product that was defective. Reading this gives me 100% faith in TAG bags. Much Respect to Larry Bartlett for having the ethics to do the right thing in this day and age. By the way i will be telling all my hunting buddies to support and buy TAG bags, we had a saying in retail that if you pleased 100 people that 10 would tell others they were happy, but if you made 1 person mad he would tell 100 people that your service sucks. I try to break that mold whenever possible.

Hey all, Kendall with BlackOvis. I spoke with Larry last week at length and what you're reading here is spot on (minus the sailor vernacular haha) - the guy is straight up solid.

We sent out an email earlier this week to the BlackOvis and Elk101 customers that have purchased the bags. Please reach out to us if you received this email and let us know that you've tested your bags and if there was a defective on them. We'll be sure to get your name and address onto the list we're getting to Larry so that he can ship you replacements in January.

I know there are guys that have been a little bent about it, and that's understandable if you've got a hunt coming up. With the way TAG bags hold up for years, it may be worth borrowing a buddy's or just getting some cheap one time use bags for your hunt and banking on the quality of the replacements that you'll be receiving to serve you well for years to come. I've been using my TAG bags for 5 years now and they are going strong.

IF you're one of our customers that isn't interested in waiting, we understand and we've got your back...always. Give us a call or reply to the email you received from us and we'll take care of you with a full refund. No questions asked.

Thanks and as always, shoot straight!

Really sucks this happened. However, I will continue to buy TAG bags. The way you have stood behind this has been very honorable, Larry. As always, you have proven to be a stand up guy.

A stand up guy can be difficult to identify as long as things go well, but when things go to shit, the wheat and chaff separate rather quickly.

Larry has shown clearly which side of the fence he falls on. I've been happy with mine, and think if they were going to separate they would have by now, they've been used pretty hard. Didn't know anything about the other companies shamelessly pimping his ideas as their own, but a quick look on some other websites appears to confirm that claim pretty quickly. I'll buy his products as long as he's selling them.
