I just picked one up from euro optic, cleaned it, torqued everything back to spec. Shooting off a bench with a bipod and bag I can not get it to shoot under 1.3”. I tried 143 eldx, 147 eldm and 156 eol’s. Most the other groups were closer to 1.5”. Called beretta and they told me the sub moa test is with sako ammo so I ordered some. This is my first tikka but I have a few customs that shoot lights out. Any suggestions on anything else to try or check before I ship it back to tikka?

I may have found the issue, sifting thru the other forums i may have not seated the action to the lug correctly. I flipped it over after discovering this and will give it another go.

What did you torque the action screws to? I think the manual says like 60-65 in-lbs or something like that, but I've always been told to torque to 35 in-lbs; thoughts?

Following! Hope it starts to shoot better.

I’m about to order mine in 6.5 from EO soon.
Just the T3X stainless. Will have it chopped and threaded

This is how I do all mine, following pretty much what MT does and so far no issues. Put the recoil lug in the stock, leave it out a ways, set the barreled action onto the lug, making sure the lug is in the machined slot. Use the barreled action to push the lug down into place. Do it with the butt down on a hard surface with the rifle in the vertical position. Factory lite synthetic stock and bottom metal, torque to 45in/lbs. Snug up the screws a little and torque the rear first and then the front.

Also, I run at least 6 to 8 different factory ammo through each rifle to find the right ones. Usually there’s a couple or so that do well. The Sako ammo is great but pricey. 😬

Edit: Mounts, scope and parallax need to be ruled out also.

My last 2 barrels (seekins EH, and pbb hybrid lite), both needed 60+ to really settle in. For what its worth. Might be worth putting more through it before you make any firm conclusions.

Next go around I’ll give it a go this way
