T-Mobile Experience Beyond Plan (Satellite Included)

$118.84 a month for 4 phones with T-Mobile.
Like me, you must be on retired magenta plan with T Mobile.

I get 6 lines for $148.16, all in. With $15 for starlink, I will be at $163 for 6 lines. Unlimited everything.

Some of the prices I’m seeing on this trail are crazy high.

I'm going to try the service out using the esim app mentioned above. T mobile may just have another customer if the coverage works for us.

I have used T mobile all over the west and you will definitely find more and larger dead spots than your buddies using Verizon & ATT.

But starlink texting negates that problem for me. I don’t need any data or voice - starlink texting is plenty for me for weeks on end.

And my Verizon buddies are carrying an expensive sat device also.

Insane amount.. Have you ever actually dove in and checked to see if use all the features you are paying for?
Verizon here- 2 lines $150.00
Yes, the problem I run into is we will find a couple dumb things that I have no idea how it was added. They'll remove it and then over time the bill creeps up again. Go back to the store and repeat the same process. It's just like when I had DirecTV. I swear they add stuff hoping you don't notice.

We have too good of a deal with our provider to leave. If it was comparable I still would be skeptical to switch. Out west T-Mobile still has a ton of 3g (almost useless) and roaming partners if you zoom in on their coverage map. Yes they will be better in some areas where Verizon suffers. My favorite thing about Verizon is if you have service it’s almost always going to be 4g or 5g and they’re still the largest network.

Here in Montana it must be different. When I moved here I had ATT since that was king in the southeast. Useless here. I swapped to T-mobile and have service in much more places off the highways.

Why not use a Mint T-Mobile account plus an InReach? It will be cheaper overall. Do folks really plan on needing so much satellite access?

It is interesting watching the baseline shift on stuff like this.

What is crazy - I have terrible coverage with tmobile in Southeast away from urban areas but I went antelope hunting in NOWHERE New Mexico and had super coverage. Tmobile advertises they cover a huge amount of Americans and that is true if you live in Atlanta, etc. but not true in rural GA.

My inreach has been worthless and has become pretty expensive. It often takes days for messages to get through which has lead to miscommunication and drama when one is expecteding a message.

Same. Super frustrating. Definitely don't recommend getting into an argument with your wife miles from nowhere.
