Picked up a used Venture .308 in Realtree for $450. Mounted a Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4–16x44, torqued to spec, and shot five 3-shot groups with 168 gr Hornady ELD-M.
Average: 1.1 MOA. Cold bore was dead center every time.
Trigger broke clean at 3.5 lbs after polish. For a “cheap” rifle, this thing tracks like a laser. Anyone else bedded one of these or rebarreled to 6.5 CM?

Bought a brand new .270 for $250 years ago. That thing shot every factory ammo I fed it 3/4 moa or better. Great shooting rifles for the money, really under valued in the budget rifle world. Congrats on the find, should make a fine rifle for you. Best wishes

I have a TC Venture predator model 204 ruger camo flutted barrel. It is a tack driver. And I have a TC Venture 280 rem. Hope they start making them again.
