I'm planning on spending 3 weeks on the Penninsula as a packer for a good friend of mine for spring bear. He suggests a 0 degree synthetic bag. All my lower 48 bags and quilts are down, so this would likely be a catch and release bag once I'm done with the trip. What's the best value of cost, quality, size and weight in the synthetic world right now?

If your not backpacking my only recent experience has been with a Wiggys bag. I was very pleased with it although when I used it the temperature did not go below 25.

I’m very happy with my 20° Kifaru Slick bag for Kodiak thru Thanksgiving. If not hesitate to get a zero but the 20 was what I found a deal on.

You don’t need to spend a fortune. Just about any brand will work for what you’re doing. Peninsula is a cold wet place but typically everyone sleeps inside a tent at a minimum. I usually take my north face tundra bag with me. I have taken my 0 degree quilt and it worked just fine too. You’ll spend more time on the glassing knob than in your bag unless a storm
Moves thru.
