Switching from Cimarron to Sawtooth

So I sold my Cimarron awhile back. It was a great shelter especially with the flaps that cover the stove jack when it’s not in use and over the zippers. I just couldn’t get past the stove placement so I’m going the sawtooth route. The only thing I was curious about was whether or not it gets rain through the zippers and stove jack?

I ran the Sawtooth last year without any issues to speak of. Make sure you get a liner for condensation on the inside. I pitched in all different locations/angles and was thankful every time that I bought the liner

Well, the stove location you'll need to be careful with on the Sawtooth as well, especially entering and exiting with a hot pipe.

I agree. But I was more worried about the stove being next to me while I slept. I have a tendency to roll when I sleep

The Cimarron light has a different stove jack placement you might prefer . It's basically opposite the entry

I was in the same boat about the SO stove jack location and i end'up trying tigoat vertex tipi this year and so far i reaaaaally like the stove location,plenty of space on each side and entrance.The sawtooth have the stove right behind the door if i remember,looks like a pita with 2 pers.

Its a Gstove made in Norway,best stove ever but this is not a backpacking stove,its about 25lbs,i am only using it for ice fishing and camping trips with a sled...or with my jeep awning tent.

This looks nice. I had the lite outdoors stove before and it was great
