Worth it? Was thinking about putting one on a bolt gun for tripod use.

Currently using the Bog Deathgrip and Cavix ball head

Couple ways to do it. You can utilize the front action screw for the rear mount, then you only have to drill one more hole for the front. It does come closer to the balance point.

Drill two holes for the t-nuts in the middle of the forend. Makes it rear heavy, but gets you a little further away from the tripod.

If your stock has two sling studs, you can use the rear t-nut, and only drill one more hole.

I lean towards the two in the middle of the forend.
