I have a Knight Mountaineer .50 with the Green Mountain laminated wood stock. It will mainly be for my Tricer BC tripod for elk hunting. Can anyone recommend a Swiss ARCA rail for this stock? Any other suggestions on what mount you use with this rail, etc? Thanks!

I use the srs arca pic on mine

I have the same rail sitting in a package ready for install. Did you use the nuts in the package for install, or find another set of t-nuts? I was concerned the nuts in the package would cause damage to the fiberglass since they function by tightening 3 prongs into the stock.

I think I cut part of the nuts off but can’t recall.

I am concerned also about the install on my Knight Mountaineer .50. I bought the SRS Balance rail for this rifle. Ken at SRS told me that the factory T-nuts may be problematic for install due to issues with the Knight ramrod. He recommended some brass inserts similar to the ones pasted below, which he emailed me about. But, he said these are not necessarily the correct inserts/fasteners and to ask a gunsmith which exact ones are needed. Does anyone know the correct inserts to use for a Knight Mountaineer .50 w/ factory laminated stock?

Correct, it’s about a 4” rail that will go right in front of the bottom metal. Ken told me to install it about one inch forward of the actual balance point on this Knight.
