I guess we’ll know soon if this is going to set them on track or sink the ship…

My guess is that SWFA has been building inventory, with batches of scopes trickling in.

We've seen Maven get batches, sell out, and people wait, right? I'd imagine SWFA has been in the same boat, maybe literally.

When will the new SWFA review be on the Rokslide site? Pinned to the optics forum?

Surely Rokslide has a production sample.

Thursday or Friday?

I won’t be so pessimistic. They have done some unique, and beneficial to us consumers, stuff and there could be more in the future. Has there ever been a better deal than the $299 6X? I’ll remain cautiously optimistic.

While I love the 6x mil quad, and one is the only SWFA scope I still have, it's relegated to .22LR use for me, as the reticle wasn't great for hunting, especially since the glass sucked in low light. It's like the original fixed 10x. I had one, used it on a State Arms 50BMG for hundreds of round, and it tracked and held zero, but the glass wasn't great. Or really even that good.

What SWFA did was show that you can make an inexpensive scope that held zero and tracked accurately and repeatable with enough elevation and windage adjustment range to make dialing useful.

For that I'll always have a soft spot for them, but the optics world has moved on, and now there's a lot of choices in the lower-mid price range that actually work. Heck, I just got a Sightron 1.75-5x to throw on my single shot 45/70 for under $200 bucks, and it tracks accurately and repeatably, and held zero so far through a hundred rounds of 45/70 and one buck down.

I have two newer 6x that seem to have much better glass than the one I had years ago. Not aware of any upgrades, but these new ones don’t leave me wanting for more where the older one did. Not suggesting they are high end, but at $299, they are a reliable, capable scope. Perhaps the best bang for buck aiming device available. The 3-9 at $599 is also quite good.

Aren't some people still waiting on scopes they ordered over a year ago? They might have a new product, but idk if I'm willing to order something and it not actually ship for 12-18 months.
