Has everyone received their Black Friday purchases yet. I bought 3 of the 3-9. Received 1. It would seem odd that they would ship in separate boxes for the same order.

I ordered one the the morning of black Friday and then impulse ordered another right before the sale closed the Monday after. Those e-mails with the countdown timer really worked on me I guess. 😂 They shipped separately, but both should get here tomorrow.

Mine came in on Friday, very happy with the 3-9 so far. Now waiting for the rifle to come back from UM cerokote.

Little comparison info

Uncalibrated scale difference shows approx 3.3oz difference without the turret caps

The form factor does feel a bit smaller in hand, I think mainly due to the lack of parallax knob. Overall pretty close. I may consider trading the 3-9 for a 15x because I like to zoom in and measure rocks lol

Side note, clicks on the gen two 15x are much better than the older gen 1 I had. But that’s a sample size of 1

The diopter adjust design does not work with the Butler 14 flip up scope cover I was using on my fixed 10X. What size fits the 3x15 Gen 2? Is it Butler 16 ocular?

I measured the diameter of the ribbed ocular at almost exactly 43 mm. Ordered a 16 and an 18 Butler Creek to see which fits best. Anyone who has used these will know that they are flexible and can stretch a bit. Will report back.

My Gen2 10x has way more defined clicks. Nothing like the mushy Gen1, which never bothered me honestly but it is a noticeable difference.

My 3-9x and 10x gen2 came in last night and now I just have to stick with the plan to allocate them appropriately.

Got my 3-9 on Friday and I will install it on my 308 Tikka. Will be my first FFP scope and the reticle seems usable at low power (what kept me from going FFP before). Obviously I have not shot it yet, but very happy with the purchase so far and glad I was able to get it on sale. The magnification dial seems a little stiff, but maybe I just need to hit the gym lol. Will probably just put a wide rubber band on it to give it more traction for me to grip. I will now be able to dial for elevation on my shots since I can rely on them!

Will take the 3-15 Leupold that's currently on it and save it for a future 22 squirrel gun.

Anyone else get pre-focused 3-9x42s? That was sure a nice surprise on both of the scopes I bought this year.

The 3-15 is easy to focus, the 3-9 is much hard for me to find what’s perfect focus

Put some castration bands on my magnification adjuster, I’m liking it so far.

My 3-9 came in from Kenton yesterday. The Kenton level is pretty nice as well.

I was planning a rifle for my daughter, but settled on just making my 223 fit her, so now I have a backup scope. Guess I could throw it on the Encore 308 barrel.

I bought both the 3-9 and 3-15 and will just keep the one I like more
Despite all the love for 3-9's, I am guessing I won't care for it. I don't need to save 3 oz, but we will see

Well I surprised myself and kept the 3-9
It really does suit a 223
