What are the zero stop hacks for this particular scope? I have not found anything concrete for this particular optic, I see there are kits available for swfa, but are there particular ones for the 3-9?

The washer type is the only option. I use burris signature zees and can get the cant to bottom using the rings.

These work, I've bought from this seller.

This is the guy to buy from but I think these are different than the shims for the 3-9. I bought what he said was his last set for the 3-9 last fall, and when I checked for a second set fairly recently, he said he was waiting for material.

Also, the shims for the 3-9 were a few dollars more.

I got a few sets for the 3-9 and a few sets for the fixed scopes about a year ago. Glad I did because it seems like he’s out or not making any more.

Oops, thanks for the catch. I edited my post to hopefully not steer anyone wrong.

This is what the eBay link above says about compatibility:

We manufacture zero stop shim sets for use with SWFA Super Sniper scopes.

We support only the fixed power non-HD modles and the 3-15.

There is an installation video here:

When ordering, be sure to include your shipping address. You wouldn't believe how many people forget. Please also note if your scope's turrets are in MOA or milrads.

The shim sets for all powers of milrad scopes and the 3-15 are all identical and interchangeable. Only the shims for MOA based scopes are different.

I wouldn’t waste your money on the washers. Pretty janky, I had a couple sets and they kind of worked. Just write down what rev you on and tape it to the scope. Shoot the gun enough and it’s easy to tell if you’re on the right rev or not looking at the scale on the turret.

I used nylon washers. Take your turret cap to the store with you to make sure they fit. I used one thick one and one thin one. About $2 at an Ace Hardware.

I have a hose washer downstairs to try tomorrow. Had heard they will work and let you dial a few clicks past zero too. They are like $2 for 10. Will test it on a 6x, 3-9, and 3-15 and post back later this weekend.

If not then I'll have to take the turrets with me to the hardware store next time.

I’m with TxxAgg on this one. Get some nylon washers or hose washers from your local hardware store for pocket change and no shipping. Take the turret cap off and stack’em until you get it right. Keep in mind, it likely won’t stop exactly on zero. Mine allows for about 3 clicks under which is fine.

Tried the hose washers on the older SWFA 3-9 and my 3-15 today.

They had to be trimmed to fit in the 3-9 turret, but there was extra room in the 3-15 turret to just drop it right inside the turret cap.
2 washers worked, but held the cap up pretty high. 1 washer wasn't enough to act as a zero stop.

I'll probably just take the turrets with me to the hardware store next time (along with one from my 6x) and find a thin nylon washer to take up a little more space, then put it above the hose washers.
