Sweatbands on a beanie?

I've always had issues with every beanie I've ever worn irritating my forehead, even on the first day of a multi day trip. Doesn't matter if it's fleece, merino wool, poly/wool blend, or even a loose fitting hat like the C4E Element.

I've never on the other hand had one of my quality cowboy hats irritate my forehead and they have a smooth leather sweatband that is comfortable day after day. They are also lined with satin or silk in the inside which is beyond comfortable.

How come nobody in the "beanie industry" has done anything like this or have they and I just not heard about them? Anybody else have similar problems?

i have a fleece beanie with a silk sweatband..got it from cabelas. it is kinda goofy looking..but warm.

now, i just wear a ballcap. if it gets cold, i put the beanie over the ballcap and everything. mentally, it makes me think the beanie stays cleaner, because i will be wearing it when i sleep.

I have the same problem, 99% of the time I can't wear a beanie as it itches my forehead to death. I have resorted to wearing a ball cap 100% of the time, and just put a beanie over that if it's cold for extra warmth/ear protection.

I'm thinkin Kryptek or FL should come out with a Stormy Kromer style hat with a fleece liner and smooth leather sweat band on the inside. Wouldn't irritate your skin and would be very functional....
I've done the ball cap /beanie combination and it works well just trying to think of all the hats I've worn what would work best...
