I'm interested if many of you have any experience with the Swazi Tahr XP and or the Swazi AEGIS Bib Overtrousers? I came across this brand while trolling and thought these may be the perfect rain gear for some up coming trips I've got planned to Alaska Moose and Caribou. Any feed back on how they've performed, expert opinions, anything? I just ordered some Kuiu Yukon rain gear (last week) before I really heard about Swazi so the return to Kuiu clock is ticking!

Thanks!

I believe Aron Snyder runs the Swazi Tahr axe muderer looking rain dress. He'd be the most experienced user I know.

That piece is very popular in europe. You can find tons of reviews on many european hunting/bushcraft forums.
I also like that piece but it's way too expensive to get in Canada.
Some of the reviews I did read were saying the old versions breathed much better than their new membrane they use now.
There is a knock-off version that is cheaper called the Ridgeline Monsoon.
I don't like wearing rain pants in the terrain I hunt as they get shredded way too easy. I think a smock/anorak with gaiters would be sufficient and better for busting through brush.

I asked Jason at KUIU to consider making a version based off the Yukon rain jacket :)

You could check out Stoney Ridge too (another company out of NZ) for slightly cheaper prices. NZ is making some quality gear, and I'm starting to be converted to their shorts and leggings approach.
