I bought the Swarovski BTX eyepiece and paired it up with the 115mm objective last month. I was finally able to test it in the field during all times of light conditions this past weekend. I noticed that during the day in max daylight, it was like there was a filter or as if I was looking through it with sunglasses on. In the evening and or in the morning, this was not noticeable and was perfect. Is this normal?

My buddy had the same problem. Granted, his was a 95, but it was so dim we were certain it was a defective piece.

Recently looked through the btx on a 115 and it still seemed really dark. I love swarovski and it's all I buy, but I just don't get the hype of the btx. Yeah, its easy to look through, but if it sucks in low light it's basically worthless to me.
