Swarovski ATX 65 vs Kowa 66a ?

Wondering in anyone has experience with these two spotters. These are the two I’m considering and both are highly regarded. I like the kowa focus but the Swaro has the option to add on other objectives later on. My only hesitation is a review I seen on by S&S archery and they mention that the swaro 65 is grainy. Yet there is a review from outdoorsman that put the swaro 65 resolution above the kowa 66a. Just wondering if it holds water. Its hard to believe the the swaro would be grainy compared to the kowa.

Pick the focus mechanism you prefer and neither one will disappoint. I like the Kowa dual focus much more than Swaro but glass is great in both.

Had both, sold the Swaro. To my eyes the Kowa glass is superior. The fine focus is awesome for digiscoping as well. And the lighter weight of the Kowa is appreciated on backpack hunts

Are you running the 65 kowa? If you are do you ever feel like it would be nice to use a bigger objective?

I have bigger objective spotting scopes as well but if I was going to only own one for all purposes, the 65 would be my choice

Find a Kowa 77 if you want the best mix of weight and objective size. They are on here for some good deals typically too.

I would like to try a kowa out in person but I’ve never seen one in any stores near me.
