Is it worth it? Idaho backcountry hunting mule deer, elk, bears, etc. Looking at compact weight/packability
It’s absolutely the perfect tool for that.Is it worth it? Idaho backcountry hunting mule deer, elk, bears, etc. Looking at compact weight/packability
Eventually that’s the plan! One day ill have a BTX with a 115 but until then!Every time I look through my STC, I'm still blown away by how good of an eye piece they were able to get on that small of a scope. The field of view is incredible for that size as well.
It was not the right tool for field judging antelope on my WY Hunt last year, but I still got by just fine. If money weren't the limiting factor, I'd also keep a high end 80mm+ in the truck.
I have an ATC on order. Looking forward to comparing it to my 13 year old magnesium body ATM 20-60x65 HD. Likely will sell one or the other after my comparison.
Eye protection eve apparently is the same OD on both scopes so my phone scope set up will work for digiscoping. I do some comparisons between them on sheep on the mt behind the house. Hope the compact hangs with the old scope, at least to 40X.
