This might be shocking and wrong, but I wrap mine in an old wool stocking hat when I carry it in my pack. Both lenses are covered, and it works for me.

That's a great idea! After reading this, I tried an old wool sock and I think it will work great! Thank you..

I use a large Crown Royal bag to store mine.
