Swaro Z3 vs Z5 with 4A?

Is the 4A on both the z3 and z5 the same thickness? Looking at z3 3-10x42 and z5 3.5-18x44, mountain elk rifle shots maximum 500 with kimber .270 WSM. Appreciate the help

hmm youd think so?

I have the Z5 and cant fault it, awesome scope. I have the 4W reticle and its good. They are pretty fine and in very low light/shooting into dark trees can be a bit hard to see.

For Elk id say 10X will be fine out to 500, but the Z5 with 18x is maybe more versatile

The Z5 is not available with a 4a, however, beyond 200/250 yards there's no way to correct for elevation using a 4a in a Z3

May I suggest the BRH reticle so you know your hold overs for the Z3 or the BT-4W on the Z5 series
