There are scum bags everywhere. I just read this article on GoHunt. Seems fitting to share here:

I have a hard time leaving anything out. I am the guy who will spend an extra 10 minutes putting everything back in the truck at the trailhead or at base camp.

Bad deal all around but I'm not a fan of throwing names out accusing someone without some evidence. From what I read here all they are guilty of at this point is being on the same mountain.

Yep, I'm all for you and some buddies keeping an eye on them but internet lynch mobs never end well for either side.

I’ve always hid my spotter when I don’t take it with me but the Sawtooth , WiFi , and WM bag are all there for the taking. I’m sure it’s a problem everywhere but I’m also going to guess it will be an increasing problem for Colorado. Dope and a high level of homelessness has dope bums living in the forests. Lots of non traditional types hiking around. Socialist are all about other people’s stuff.

Got mixed views on giving IG info out. If if if they are the culprits they will be more diligent with any pictures etc. I might share it via PM, may want to share what state they are from.

If i park at a trailhead and hike in I try and make it a habit of taking pictures of the vehicles and plate numbers. I haven't left an area with gear still in the back country but would do the same then too. Never know could be handy to the local CO/LEO.

Wife was a local assistant city at attorney!! I hope she gets fired for she already shows bias towards hunters. (Reasoning for the theft of tree stands) Off topic I know.

And this is why I hide my camp and leave nothing of value there.. Not having a sleeping bag well, that sucks bad.= and could have potentially caused a major life threatening issue. Sorry to hear it.

Jan. Javelina hunt.4 campers/tent trailers looted.Broken locks and shattered windows(.Local boys out on opening day).Not good.I hunt alone.Solo camp.Can't trust anyone now...Too bad,I used to visit neighboring camps and bring a 6 pack.Now i sit in camp with a gun.

If they know you are onto them they are less likely to do something stupid like post pics of their shiny "new" optics they got from their "sweet sponsorship deal with Swaro"

You should check with you insurance guy. My tent and everything in it is covered under homeowners. A $500 deductible sucks but I know how much a new Swarovski is.
