I'm looking at picking up a pair while they are still on sale. Ive seen the demo's at Natchez and they are an even better deal but I see they are a different product number. Natchez has the #58110 and it seems everywhere else is #58310. I called Natchez and the guy I spoke wasn't sure what the difference was. I would like to verify with Swarovski directly but they are closed until Monday. Does anyone know what the difference is?

I googled Swarovski 58110 and didn't find prices (all said no longer available) but I saw reviews were dated 2008,2009. I think dotman said these are not HD glass and I believe he's right. Talk to Natchez and see what year they were manufactured.

I was doing some research online and in January 2010 Swarovski came out with HD (high density) glass in the SLC Bino's and Swarovision in EL series Bino's.

I just went through this. The 58110s are not HD glass and they arent able to retro HD glass into them. I didnt notice much difference between the 58110s and my conquest hd's. The 58110s are bulkier and heavier than the 58310s. The 58310s have HD glass and they are a huge upgrade over my conquests.

58110s are the SLC NEU.

They are premium non-HD binoculars. They have very high resolution and although they control chromatic aberration well for a non-HD design, they do not control it as well as the new SLC (58310). They have top shelf build quality.

You will see a little more color fringing on high contrast objects with the 58110s, but they are still competitive binoculars.

The NEU'S are heavier than the new model if it matters to you.

Edit: I should learn to read better. Someone already posted this info.
