Typically hunt on the coast range of Oregon for Blacktail and Roosevelt. Mainly clear cuts and younger reprod. This year I will be hunting deer in the high desert of eastern Oregon. I don’t hunt big wide open country a lot but would like to try and get into that more and more.

I have an ATX and BTX with 65 obj. In my use on Oregon coast, I'm usually not glassing far enough to warrant using the BTX, so I just bring the ATX for weight savings and pretty much only pull out to get a closer look at something I've already found with chest binos. The BTX is much more pleasant to look through for any extended period of time as compared to the single eye in the ATX. I feel like I start to get eye fatigue with one eye glassing. I've considered picking up a set of 15s to use as a dedicated glassing setup for where I hunt.

Perhaps the areas you're hunting on Oregon coast differ from mine, but I feel like the fixed 30x/35x magnification is a bit more than I need.
