I see they are on sale right now. I have never used them but am thinking they might come in handy out here in ND. For the guys that have them are they worth it? Do you use them that much? I have 10x42 el's and a 20-60x80 swaro spotter. So not sure how much I would use the big eyes.

What is everybody's opinion that has them or has used them? Thanks, Branden

Pretty much useless unless they are on a tripod. But really nice to glass with when they are.

It's always a tough one for me, I usually end up just taking my 10x50 EL's on backpack hunts to save weight. The 15x56's come out when the terrain opens up and I'm not hiking in real deep.

I have had a pair for about 5 years and think they were a worthwhile purchase. They suck to carry very far, I usually just take the spotter and 10's if weight is a concern. But for scouting and glassing big open country there pretty sweet. A tripod is a must.

I love mine... I've been packing them instead of the 10s. I took them on a few scouting trips this year and found if I see something I want to look at, a simple crouch and resting the binos on a trekking pole is steady enough. Like others have mentioned, tripod is a must.

I think you can spot circles around other methods on a tripod in many circumstances (particularly cover). Very comfortable too.

My favorite way to glass big country. Tripod is a just as stated. Ill take them in while scouting when weight is less than season

Oh and they also come with the tripod adapter so I don't have to buy that also.

You should look into the outdoorsmans adapter. I just don't seem to trust the swarovski adapter personally... The nipple is really short on it and it just doesn't seem secure to me.

Travis they are standard threads. So screw into any thing then slides into their heads. I use the Swaro tripod mount with outdoorsman adaptor attached to it then mounted onto tripod
