Suppressor on a 24 inch barrel?

Are you saying find a suppressor with threading to match browning or is there an adapter?

Most suppressors currently sold have the ability to take different direct thread mounts. I just had to order one that fit the Browning threading.

I agree with most of what’s been said here. You can manage it although it’s certainly more unwieldy than a shorter barrel.

The biggest gripe I have is on a 22” barrel with an Ultra 7 making it top heavy and sliding the rifle down when slung over my shoulder. I gotta get a new sling with some better grip on it.

Same problem here. I switched to the vero vellini neoprene slings they keep the rifle up on your shoulder.

Depends on the gun/stock, but if you switch to a sling and QD flush cups on the non bolt side of the action you can eliminate this problem.

It sucks with traditional sling swivels because yeah the muzzle wants to be pointing behind you at like a 45 degree angle and it just keeps sliding down.

Lets put it this way, i wouldn't care if I didn't own another gun over 20". Cut that down and enjoy.

Same here and the 20” would ONLY be for 300wm/300prc. All the guns I’ll hunt with are cut to 18” except for a 375HH that is 21”, I don’t use it much these days.

I have a few 24” barrels with 6-9” supressors, but I use them in folding chassis. Folded on my pack or in the truck they have the same footprint as an 18-20” ar (collapsible stock) with the same sized supressor!

Never packed one around in a traditional stock though, I could see it being a PIA on some hunts.

It’s self correcting. People will say it dosent effect their hunting to use 22-24” barrels but they find out pretty quickly that it sucks and cut the barrel.

I have a 24" barrel and 9" suppressor. I'm mostly in pretty open country and for me the issue is balance. Like others have said when its on your shoulder with a sling it's always wanting to roll back.

After a season with a 16.5” barrel + 6.75” suppressor..I’ll never go back to anything over 18” for hunting. It quite simply isn’t needed for normal hunting ranges IMO. No balance issues here. Winds up the length of a 22.5” normal barrel. Kills like a lightning bolt, quiet enough to make you giggle when it shoots, lightweight to carry, no recoil at all, and look pretty good if I may say so myself…
