At the end of the day there is absolutely nothing wrong with a 215gr Berger hybrid in a 300wm that he is already shooting. That is one of the best 30 cal bullets produced

905 yards with a 6 UM. Died in 10 seconds. Not sure why you'd need a bigger bullet. Impact velocity of about 2035 fps.

Maybe I need to drive up the road and check that 6 um out

I see that in the faster 6.5’s. But for the CM, especially a short barreled 6.5CM, I think it will be hard to beat the 130TMK.

Typically people tend to use heavy for caliber bullets in the bigger powder volume cartridges thus faster by default. A 6.5cm isn't even on my radar. If I was to shoot a creedmoor it would be a 6mm but at that point might as well just go 6um in either shoulder option.

If you’re looking for wound channel and penetration balance in a bullet I’ve had good luck with mono’s that shed their petals. Not really rokslide popular but results have been great on animals for the group I hunt with. Generally get an exit and the moment the petals separate has a big upset and then the petals do a surprising amount of damage and penetrate deeper than you’d think. The shank portion almost always exits.
