Hey, all — just heard of a dude carrying a Nikon Coolpix P950 83X optical zoom digital camera for glassing instead of a spotting scope. Video he shared was unreal for how far out he could ID a legal ram. Anyone else trying this?

I’ve have power shot 70 and it’s 65x Optical Zoom, image stabilization…

There is zero ways or any condition past 400 yards does it replace swaro 80 or 65 sts.

Now I haven’t used the Nikon p1110 or p950 but I’m willing to bet you better have the best optimal light, and several water proof bags and it will still fall in under 500 yards mark as optimal usage

I just fly a drone over for a closer look. If it is legal, I herd it in my direction and shoot it at 100 yards.

Talked to local camera shop; no surprise, nothing is WR, not even close. It's an interesting idea, but I think putting the money into an upgraded, waterproof 60x is the ticket for me. Thx for the replies.
