I think I have identified a trend within myself.

Those are some studs you've taken. And, of course, people can pack out their animals any damn way they please. But for what it's worth, the reason I always pack out upside-down is I don't want to ever give someone a reason to flag me with a loaded rifle. Upside down antlers are a bit of a disconnect, the same way a big bright patch of hunter orange is.

I’ve always tried to put them upside down but I can never get it right and end up doing it the ways you see. I should study it more and have a plan.

Didn't want to start a whole thread on this, but seems appropriate here. Speaking of things the wrong way, why are the elk antlers at the Scheels in Billings like this? Seems like the person that did that sculpture has never seen an elk. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, but it's bothered me for years.
