Stuff overheard at the range or local gun shop

When inquiring about a pistol with a manual safety:

"Your finger is the safety"
"Glock is the safest handgun made"
" You dont want to get killed over forgetting to take off the safety"
"1911s are the only guns that should have safeties"

Old guy at work keeps talking about his Vietnam vet buddy that filed the firing pin down to make it full auto. I always say “no way that’s badass”. He has no clue that I own a transferable.

My son and I were looking at rifles in sportsman’s and the gun counter guy told us we should look at the Ruger PC carbine for a youth hunting rifle.

For those of us that don't know, what do you mean by a transferable?

Once heard a guy at the gun store telling someone that the 6.5 creedmoor wasn't good for deer hunting because it was so fast that the bullet didn't have time to expand and just went straight through without killing the deer. That's why he lost a bunch of deer.

Yes, but no relation to the Wendy's guy.

He's probably not wrong about that one..
That singular black bear that wandered through Davenport four years ago was probably a DNR plant also lol...Although, I wouldn't mind a huntable bear population in the NE corner/driftless region of the state.

Shop that’s a Scilencer Shop associate, I did my prints through.

Nothing! No dudes in too tight t shirts carrying hog legs in thigh holsters, well stocked, decent prices on everything.
Nobody telling me to bore out my new to be suppressor to fire rifle grenades. No dipshits at the counter pointing guns at each other. Nobody talking about “knock down power” or needing a .30 caliber to rabbit hunt.
Almost completely normal!
