I always knew tattooed gals were more fun - who knew it was because ink collected in their lymph nodes?!

Yeah, thats^ accurate. It's all degrees. An animal study that isn't even looking at long term health outcomes, but rather a 2 month window following intermediary markers and lacks a control (in this case skin trauma without ink).
Complete healing takes up to 6 months, so not surprising the immune system showed alterations.
The vaccine response is interesting, but not really anything practice to do with it.
There are epidemiological studies that show correlation between tattoos and lymphoma in one and skin cancer in another. This could hold up, but that data looks too weak to firmly state causation.
People would be much better off avoiding tobacco, nicotine, alcohol, charred meats, and marijuana products. As well as exercising and getting adequate sleep.
No one should feel they are healthy because they don't have tattoos. But, this adds one more thing to be considered before deciding to get a tattoo. Though concerns about infection and being stuck with crappy body art should rank higher at this point.
But purple hair dye seriously increases your risk of being massively overweight.tats are just another "look at me" more than anything else.....and largely a complete waste of money. Want to look inclusive, get purple hair dye. It's cheaper and don't need to worry about wrinkly skin tats when you are 70.
Cardiology diet: If it tastes good spit it out, if it is fun, don't do it.
The bigger question, that will probably never be answered, is what inks cause long term issues.Yeah, thats^ accurate. It's all degrees.
I do believe exposure to chemicals and solvents is a risk to our bodies.
Colored Tat ink contains carcinogens....many sources on that.
Does getting a colored Tat have the same effect on my body as the glass of wine I had last night at dinner?
I dunno......I hope not- grin
@fngTony the joy stealer.Ergo if you need joy you must take it from others, and if you have joy you should hide it least others take it from you.
As in break free CLP? What's wrong with that.I have sleeves.
I also breathed in trash pits overseas, ate sandwiches after cleaning my rifle with CLP, use nicotine, get crap sleep, eat food I shouldn't, and partied far too hard in my twenties.
I care about my health, but we live in a world where every two month study tells us that living life is going to kill us. So, why worry. Live it to your fullest and have no regerts.
I hate it when my misspelling is actually a word and spell check can’t save me. Often when I am typing something out and it gets a red line under it, I try three or four different spellings and then just sub in a synonym for it.Chard meat is actually a thing though![]()
I guess will see in 20 years. So far, so good.As in break free CLP? What's wrong with that.
I know you're being sarcastic but yes, hundreds. Just a few examples, underwire bras, artificial sweeteners, cell phones, and power lines were all extensively studied to look for cancer links and none were found.Has there ever been a study that didnt find something causing health issues or a higher rate of cancer?
i didnt get any of my 7 tattoos as a "look at me". sure, theres alot of people who get them on a whim and regret them. all of mine were specifically designed and each one has a special meaning to me so i wont care when they are faded and saggy when i die. sure, they cost me a fair bit of change throughout the years, but im sure you spend your money on stuff others would deem unfit as well. hell, youre a member on Rokslidetats are just another "look at me" more than anything else.....and largely a complete waste of money. Want to look inclusive, get purple hair dye. It's cheaper and don't need to worry about wrinkly skin tats when you are 70. My son got one in college, and I told him to make that his only and last one. 20 years later it is still his only one. If you got excess money(few do), donate it to a worthy cause. There are lots of them. As for health issues I'm not in that camp.
Good point. Anecdotal evidence is suspect...until it isn't.Was referred a woman with enlarged lymph nodes under her arm, did a needle biopsy, tissue was black usually means melanoma, pathologist reported inflammatory changes consistent with foreign body reaction - tattoo ink.
Had a farmer north of our property stick his arm in a sprayer tank filled with herbicide, took it out and licked his fingers saying to his neighbor this stuff can’t hurt you - dead 15 yrs later of leukemia, who knows?
Anecdotes are meaningless compared with controlled studies. Remember this when you make decisions based on single events. The odds are that the next time black is present in a tissue sample it will be melanoma unless there is a tattoo upstream.
