I know the animals don't care, but I'm trying decide on the pattern for an EH1-TK stock.

Right now, narrowed it down to: Swamp, scorched, or gap. At least I think I have

Most of my hunting is in Southern ID and Western WY.

Any insight or preferences willing to share?

Also, pics of your rifle in your manners pattern and which pattern it is.

I like the ones you mentioned, but went Gucci and got Tommy Bahama.Tikka Rifle.jpg

There’s a flat top EH1TK in Gap available right now on Manners’ web site. I’d stop debating and get that one in order.

This is long gone, but here’s GAP in real life on an EH-2.

Thanks. I left them a VM and sent an email. No where in the inlet selection for tikka, but yeah that would work.

I’d jump on the Black Forest flat top. Save a bunch of time. I almost did, and might still if you don’t. I have a current order in for another swamp though, will be my third swamp eh1
That's where I'm headed.

This is Scorched earth

It’s all personal fashion preference, I liked this one. My next will likely be solid od green.

I actually think that might be by second stock (this or swamp). I actually like a few of the other patterns better, but am not fond of bright patches potentially catching they eye of deer or elk. We rarely hunt in snow and most of our ground is brown or black with some tan from grass.

Yeah, at this point I’m done caring about color for alerting game. Maybe blues but my mirror polished stainless barreled action has had zero issues and I’ve had deer very close.

I’d just go with what you think is pretty

Contrasting colors are better. Help break out outline better. Muted colors tend to blob together.

That said I think you are over thinking this on a rifle stock.

To close the loop, I bought two of the flat tops they had in stock. One in black forest and one in high plains. They'll be configured identically and once here, I'll decide which one will go on the 7mm RM and the 280ai.

These are the last pieces to complete my builds unless I suddenly decide to change out bottom metals from factory.
