Has anybody looked into this program for getting in shape. I always liked kettle bells when I had access to them and I am thinking I will get a set for at the house. I am a big proponent of having proper training prior to any new regiment so I was thinking of taking one of the courses

Have any of you done the course?

Do any of you use kettle bells in your training regiment?

It looks like they use Pavel's Simple & Sinister book for the KB programming, so you might get your hands on that book.
Its hard to say about the course. $300 for 8 hours sounds like a lot to me, but if you don't have a lot of familiarity with the compound KB movements, it could be worth your while. Still though, there is only so much you can learn in 8 hours outside of theories so you'll probably want to film yourself doing some of the more complex movements and analyze them before incorporating them into interval workouts. Doing a KB snatch is one thing, Performing consectutive KB snathes at a near redline heart rate is another thing all together. You need the movement to be entirely solidified into you muscle memory with premium form. KB snatches and Cleans both take awhile to learn to control so that you don't bruise your wrist.

I have a 50 lbs and a 30 lbs KBs and use them frequently for conditioning workouts at home. If I travel, I might take a KB and a jumprope with me since those 2 pieces of relatively compact equipment (KB is heavy, though) pack a lot of punch for workout potential. KBs are great tools. Amazon occasionally runs deals on them with free shipping for KBs under 50 lbs. If you have to order them, shipping is what gets you.

Pretty much all fitness stores carry them now. You can even buy them at WalMart here. I was shocked when I saw them on the shelf. They had them up to 50#'s.
