Before the sanctions hit, I purchased the StrelokPro app for ballistics calculations. I found it easy to use and good enough for my purposes. One of the features I found interesting was the ability to look at various reticles and see what yardages matched up to the BDC markings. If you change the magnification from 16x to 10x, it allegedly gives the correct yardages for the reticle markings.
As it relates to SFP BDC holds, I am well aware that the BDC numbers only work at maximum magnification. However, I don’t see why it isn’t possible for an app, backed by math geniuses, to provide the holds at different magnifications.
Example: My Trijicon Huron 4-16 SFP scope has a maximum magnification of 16x. I like the extra magnification for shooting groups, but I don’t expect to shoot many animals at 15x. I would say my average would be 6x or 10x.
Unfortunately, StrelokPro doesn’t have my reticle. Are there other apps that have the reticle slide feature, and do they work reasonably well?
Note: I do know that I can dial for drops. This question is largely about curiosity.
