I have a 49 Chevy Street Rod. It's a 2 dr Fleetline Deluxe . Has a 350 chev engine , turbo 400 trans, 9" Ford rear end, Mustang 2 front clip. I drive it a lot in the summer, getting ready to store it for the winter.

I have a 65 Olds 442. Needs bodywork/paint. Been sitting on it for years. Thinking about getting out of it for a while. Hard to let go though.

I have a 1936 Ford 3 window coupe that’s in storage in Northern California. All metal, balanced and blue printed Chevy 350 w/B&M blower, 350 turbo transmission, Ford 9” rearend, stainless steel exhaust (headers to tip), stainless steel brake lines, disc brakes all around, air conditioning, tilting, and telescoping Cadillac steering, original mohair interior, and 7 coats of black lacquer paint. Full disclosure though, I had very little to do with the building of this car. My father purchased it from a farm in Northern California when I was 17 years old, and I was with him when we went to pick it up (in pieces), on a flatbed trailer. I helped him with the build for the first couple years, then I moved out of California and never went back (to live anyway). My father passed away in Oregon, in December of last year, and I inherited it. I flew down to Oregon and a buddy of mine brought a flatbed trailer up from California and hauled it back down to the Bay Area this past March. After my dad finished the build, it just sat in his garage collecting dust. It literally didn’t move for almost 25 years. After changing all the fluids, new battery and tires, and a good cleaning, my daughter and I flew back down to Santa Rosa, CA. and put it in a car show this past June. When I drove it for the first time, it only had 74 miles on the odometer.

Yeah, me too! Here’s a few more pics of the odometer when I picked it up, a couple of the original plates, and sitting in the garage where it lived for over two decades, with the man that built it in the background.

This a picture of a 57 Ranchero I did about 40 years ago, my cousin has it now. I put in a 351 Cleveland out of a Pantera. The picture of it blue id when I started.

Currently no but I’ve had a few. About 20 years ago I traded an 81 vet for a 1964 Plymouth Sport Dury with a 426 max wedge with 40K OG miles and always garaged. The lady I traded bought it new and paid her way though collage racing the car, she changed cam shafts but the OG was in the trunk along with the original build sheet under the plaid cardboard liner. The car was a 4 speed, black with white leather. Foolishly I sold the car for $16K, I’ve seen restored cars sell for over $125K, the one I had still had perfect factory paint.

I also had a 1968 Chevelle SS, i sold the 396 and put a 502 in it. That was a fun car, sold it to a family member and he was suppose to keep it or sell it back to me. He ended up a pill popper and sold it without me knowing. I had the car from when I was 16 to my early 30’s.

Sadly I don’t have a picture of either car. The sport fury sold on eBay back when they first started in the late 90’s.

I have a ‘72 Chevelle that I built for my mom when she got sick. Sold my multiple-magazine featured Jeep to make it happen for her. She had a ‘67 Malibu as her first car and a ‘69 SS 396 as the second, she also talked my grandma into a brand new ‘72 Nova SS350 that my mom drove to school for fun too. I put a ton into the car, it’s a riot and my mom drives it all the time.



I also have a ‘64 C10 SWB big back window with a big block, Tremec tko600, and full QA1 suspension. It’s currently in parts for body work.



I also have an ‘83 Mercury Capri that is getting an Ecoboost and a T56, a '94 YJ that's getting turned into a crawler, a '14 Power Wagon that has way too much done to it, and a '16 Challenger that is getting a cam and a tune.

I’m going to get a little off track here, because this is about as far from a hot rod as one could possibly get but, I’m all about off-road. This is my ‘92 Land Cruiser, that is a work in progress and will soon be triple locked, and more than likely re-powered (I just haven’t decided if I wanna go with diesel or gas). Anyway, this old cruiser already does very well off-road, but hopefully it’ll soon be able to get me stuck in places that I’ll only be able to be airlifted out of. Right now the best thing about it is the fact that I can use it as an everyday driver and, in Alaska, if it’s 30 years old, you can register them one time for $25 (that includes plates and title), and you never have to register them again. Win, win…. that is until you get stuck and have to get air lifted out.

Nice set up AK. I also have a 92 Land cruiser. Just did some trading for it not long ago. Should have it up and going pretty soon. It was parked for a few years after the water pump went out. I am sure it'll need a bit of maintenance done.
