Strange notes in Central Pennsylvania mystery... (true story, not fiction)

Talk about a perfect topic and this one is 100% going on and is an example of truth being stranger than fiction.

Don't think this has been shared/discussed here so to just catch you up- for the past few years someone or a group has been distributing incredibly bizarre leaflets across the commonwealth in the most unusual ways. We're talking leaflets stuffed into unopened boxes of food & supplies at the grocery stores (imagine opening a box of nasal spray and seeing this), placed in the pockets of new clothing, pinned/hung off of trees in the State forests, stuffed between pages of new books, etc.

This has become a bit of a PA mystery which started sometime during COVID and has apparently started up again because I was just "gifted" my 2nd leaflet as of yesterday in the haul of groceries I picked up on Sunday. Here's an example of what I received while making dinner last night...

This was stuffed into a box of scalloped potatoes I picked up at the local grocery store. The 1st one I "received" was wedged by my truck door handle outside of a gun show last year and fairly sure it resembled the leaflet below...

It's just so incredibly bizarre. There's a lot of theories behind the distribution of what must be 10's of thousands of these. This gives me a paranoid,
Ted Kaczynski type of vibe but there's other opinions out there as I mentioned.

They're folded up in boxes like this...

Hung on trees along walking trails in the state parks like...

What say you? I can post more links if needed but now you know what to search for ("schuylkillnotes" will narrow it down even further) you'll find numerous articles on Google if you were to be curious or want to factcheck me. Heck there's an entire Reddit page dedicated to this and online map tracker of... whatever this is.

Very interesting, odd that none of it makes sense. It’s like the weirdest search engine optimization based on the fact that some of those are definitely keywords that are tied to hot button issues

I know the dude that started this, or it’s his crazy cousin, or just another weird dude that’s not quite right in the head - back in college I worked at the science library on campus and we had a dude that would come in every day talking to himself and writing his manifesto. Don’t underestimate how much work one determined guy can do when voices are telling him to carry out God’s will (or it’s the voice of a very charismatic refrigerator, or his shoes), from the time he wakes up till he goes to sleep. I bet that old dude hand wrote 5 pages a day, while I saw him, so probably 15 pages a day, 365 days a year = 5,475 a year, every year for decades. The lazy guy in this example is cheating using a computer, so it’s probably high school kids being cute - wanting to be remembered for something “mysterious”. Hand write every one and I’d start wondering if the Cheerios also has rat poison along with the note.

Many years back I worked an investigation that was similar, but the person placing the notes was putting them in a frozen food box and customers were finding it when they went to make dinner. This was a nationwide issue and an interesting one to chase down.

There are several whackos doing this, just this past September during bow at the top of a mountain, at a well known glassing spot several notes were left there.

Both the notes I'm referring to, and the above mentioned note are all different topics, but same schtick.

Interesting (but not surprising) you've come across this before I have to say that this is among the most enigmatic and grandiose levels of crazy that I recall coming across though. I think what captured my attention more than anything else is the distribution element of it

I couldn't fathom how they'd have the time given the scale and breadth of the distribution over the years. I have a hard enough time finding gaps in my schedule to fit in an oil change and a haircut.
