storing mouth diaphrams

What is the best way to store mouth reeds when they are soaked? I have heard to keep them in the refrigerator but wasn't sure if that was good or not.

Best thing to do is wash them with water then put them on a paper towel and let them air dry somewhere not in direct sunlight. When dry place them in the fridge in a zip lock bag. I've kept calls for years doing it this way.

I blow my bugling reeds out (latex stretches too much) so I don't really store my used ones anyway. After the season they're done.
