Looks like SG just dropped a line of travel packs and gear. I like the looks of the BZN1500 for a work/school pack

I ordered the Kuiu Transport pants and love them. The only SG I own is some of their Christmas themed shirts but want a jacket soon.

I really hope they’re not trying to do too much.
just look at what they have done to Simms if you want a glimpse into what the future holds for SG. Decreased quality, crap CS and denying warranty claims.

On another note, this pack looked like a home run until I noticed it wasn't a full clamshell. HUGE miss by SG. All the popular packs in the travel backpack market are clamshell for good reason (Goruck, Patagonia MLC, Osprey Daylite, etc)

Lmao Frankie!

I don’t see what has triggered thre Karen effect tho.

A well known pack and gear company-putting out a pack that could be used almost daily….

I wouldn’t buy it, but it also doesn’t make me angry 🤷

Who here has shown Karen effect or anger?

By the same logic, you could say it’s silly for a well known hunting company to make leisure travel goods.

I see they have external water bottle pockets, don’t know why they dont put them on their hunting packs.

Don’t see the issue with this, every business likes to grow and expand their product line.

Here they are “doin too much” in my opinion. Meanwhile they soft release a shorter frame for their pack system, and not a single mention or marketing thing about it. All the brands are getting into the “lifestyle” game so it’s hard to single them out for it…..but yeah, personally would prefer a bit more focus on the hunting stuff and what made them good/unique in the first place. This release seems super random.

I think this is a great market for a good pack maker to expand in. I didn't know Stone Glacier made travel bags. I purchased an Osprey travel bag from REI a year or 2 ago and I had a hard time finding a laptop bag, that did double duty and was also my carry-on bag. The SG ANC 3000 travel pack seems nicer than what I purchased. I don't think the consumers for these types of products would be very price conscious which helps the manufacturer.

The issue is you’ve got non-outdoors companies who have a lot of this stuff on lockdown already — B&R, Tumi, TP, etc.
