Stone glacier hydration

What are guys doing as far as carrying and storing water with their stone glacier packs. I like to carry a one liter bottle and a bladder. Are you storing them inside? Is there any other manufacturers that make sleeves such as exos slurpy stalker that could work to strap on outside the bag? I know SG has the hydro holster but kinda looking for something a lil different.

I tried putting mine between pack and frame and don't like that. So I bought some nylon webbing and hang the bladder from the two bladder hanging straps inside.

I'm not a huge fan of hanging mine in the bag where it gets compressed and leaks on all your gear. I have seen some DIY sleeves for hanging on the exterior of the bag. Might need to talk to a seamstress. One guy was selling them but don't remember where.

I just got a stone glacier and plan on running my bladder between the bag and frame for easy access. The hooks on the inside would be an option for day hunts but I plan on getting a camp bag for the small and teams. I just hook the lip of the bladder on the grab handle and it doesn't rub me at all. I would buy a sleeve that connects to the frame somehow without a doubt. I don't think it's need shut I like the option.

I actually don't like drinking out of a tube or soft plastic so I'm interested in the hydro holster. However, I do like my 100oz bladder for clean water storage and couldn't see not having it.

I use a 2L bladder and hang it from one of the loops on the inside of the pack with a small caribiner. I find keeping it to one side leaves me more room, and its easy to balance out with my other gear. I also carry two 1L playtapus soft bottles for mixing drinks.

I made DIY hanging bladder sleeve for my Platypus that suspends inside the pack from the top of the bag.

I put my 3L bladder in one of the two spotting scope pockets that I attach to my Solo.

I run mine inside the pack with carabiner most of the time. Ran it on the outside of the pack (Sky 7400) using the compression straps a couple times.

I run mine between the bag and the frame. Like it because access is really easy and don't have to worry about anything leaking.

Hey fellas, new to rokslide and bringing up an old topic but does anyone have anything good to say about putting their bladder between the pack and frame? last year my buddy pulled the hose off his bladder inside his exo pack and soaked everything with 3 liters of nice cold water at 0530 in the morn! Needless to say I'm not excited about having that happen and the stone glacier packs not having a side sleeve for hydration is keeping me from getting one. One person here mentioned using the tripod bag but it seems like that would be really loose and move around alot?

I use the sg water blattter bag and put my 3L inside that. The platapus bladder is pretty beefy, its never leaked yet, knock on wood. What the heck is a slurpee stalker??

The Slurpee Stalker is a hydration bladder sleeve that Lenny and Steve at Exomountain gear make. You can buy just the sleeve, or you can get shoulder straps to go with it to make it a stand alone hydration pack. I use one inside of my SG Avail 2200, connected inside with a couple of grimlocs. I also use it with my Nomad, again mounted to the frame with grimlocs. Check it out in the 'accessories' section on the Exo website.

I run my water bladder between the frame and bag on both my Stone Glacier and Kifaru packs. Its nice to free up some interior space and not have to worry about my gear getting wet if th bladder leaked or a hose came off.

I use the Camelback MilSpec 3 liter bladders. They have quick connect fittings on the bladder where the tube attaches. If the tube becomes detatched, the bladder will not leak. However, the water that is in the tube will siphon out if you have the lever in the 'on' postion at the mouthpiece.

I'm a bit of a minimalist and oz. counter, so I don't like the idea of adding anything additional to my pack to carry my water bladder. In the past I've just used a little piece of cordage and hung my 3L hydration bladder between the two rings located on the inside of my pack (basically hanging up tight against my back between my shoulder blades. This last season I decided to hang it in-between my frame and pack because I needed the additional space inside the pack. Both seem to work pretty good but it is a little more difficult to access, for refilling, when it's between the bag and frame.

I use a platypus 3 liter are store it I. The bag. I also use the quick fill detachment to fill it up to the the max and then I crank down all straps on the pack to get the weight as close to me as possible. I've never had a platypus leak on me and I consider myself high risk.

I run mine between the frame and the bag and like that set up. Easy access and I don't even know it is there, even when full.
