Anyone running SG clothing for whitetails?

For the last 8 years I have been using Kuiu products for western hunting and home here in the midwest for whitetails. I do not have the Kuiu whitetail system but i do have the full laying system. I plan to pick up some more SG stuff for western hunting in particular and wouldnt mind using it for whitetails aswell. As I primarily hunt in solids anyway .

just wondering if anyone is running SG for whitetails on the clothing side of things, and how youre liking them?

Not sure why it wouldn't work but I prefer my sitka stuff more for the wind protection. Get a stratus set (bibs and jacket) and call it a day.

I use all my SG stuff for rifle hunting. Unfortunately I tried to use my dehavilland pants for archery out of my saddle and it just created too much noise for my liking. I only use my cirque vest and helio stuff for bowhunting. I know they made a bow hunting specific line this year however I don't have experience with it.

The bigger question is are you rifle hunting or bow hunting?
Rifle hunting you can pretty much get away with anything.
Bow hunting is a different thing. Noise on the draw being the biggest factor, but even sitting and making little noise is important. No one can possibly sit perfectly still for hours, so being able to move and be quiet while still being protected from elements is the reason certain lines of clothing come into play.

I find the stratus line the most useful and versatile for bow hunting, but there can be others as well and trial and error is a costly endeavor.

Of course certain conditions will allow something that wouldnt work well on a calm quiet day work in more noisy windy conditions. So this is all relative to hunting conditions.

I’m just starting out but the new headwall from SG looks promising. When layer properly I think I can get it into December in my area, sept Oct and Nov are getting milder every year and with two little kids December is pretty busy.

I bow hunt in the de haviland pants and didn’t have an issue with noise from the pants when in the saddle — and the knee pads were huge for leaning against the tree — but I wouldn’t still hunt in them.
