I picked up a Terminus as well a few weeks ago. As Luke stated in his last post I also will hold judgement until after I get a full season with it. There are some initial things I do like about the product, but again I really need to put it through a season. BTW I also like the Kifaru as I have owned two of their packs as well.

The three initial things I like about this pack are
1) weight
2) adjustability ( It is very fast and easy to adjust to get the correct fit)
3) Load shelf

No I've got one on order. I'm just toying the idea around. I don't know after what I saw the kifaru do if I could ever use another pack but I like to toy with ideas.

That's just part of being a gear nut! ;) I know that the stone glacier is at the top of the list for the girlfriends new pack. Only thing that would push me away would be the lack of power-pull waist belt. But I would like to use her as an excuse to play with a new pack, and she'll never haul more than about 75 lbs...

Mike , what are you running now ?

Good ole T1 in coyote. ;) I haven't had anything barrel on me yet and by picking up the gen2 hanging meat bag it'll haul everything I need and will be more conducive to proper loading. It's about to get a pretty serious haircut too.

I wouldn't put it past her for a few miles in mild terrain. I would say she's a beast but that might give the wrong impression... ;) she's fought fire and absolutely refuses to complain and she's extremely athletic. Lucky guy here... ;)

I have no doubt she could do it for a bit. My wife has for a couple miles at a time here and there over the years, but it certainly slows here down, about like putting 130 pounds on my back. I want her joints to last so she can go with me for many more years in the field so we try to limit to 75 pounds and under and if going that heavy just for short distances.

I loved how my DT1 felt/looked/carried/weighed after I cut it up. I basically did what aron did in his video and cut a bunch of weight and (to me) useless things off.

Yeah I might try out the flat back stays instead for this year along with cutting extra things off! The most annoying right now is all the extra strap length. Few weeks ago on a hike it was 35+mph winds and the straps were beating the hell out of my face until I tucked em somewhere else!

Only thing that is keeping me from cutting things already is if I want to resell my T1 and go with a BT1...

Great video and I like seeing the same shots with both packs. I already have my bikini and dt1 pack ordered. Video makes me feel good about purchase. But I will tell you I won't be bending backwards as I am positive I will end up like a turtle . :) Thanks for the work Matt.

Just out of curiosity did you have a kifaru meat shelf for the high camp bag? I am wondering if using the meat shelf would push the bag out further causing the lateral movement you experienced to be more pronounced.

I'm most impressed with how you manhandled that brown pack when you threw it on. It would finish off both of my rotator cuffs if I tried that with 110 lbs.

I know what you mean! I just find it easier than standing up from putting it on seated. Although I did just about eat it right there, if you saw my foot slip on the video.

It's funny but my abs are killing me this morning, from doing that back-bend BS. I think I pulled something.

That's how pretty much everyone in the military(infantry) puts on a pack, be it 20 pounds or 150. Great vid Matt.
